Russian Academy of Arts
2. The Academy is a non-profit scientific organization established in the form of a state academy of sciences. In its activities, the Academy follows the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the legislation of the Russian Federation, and this charter.
3. The Academy is a self-governing organization that conducts fundamental and applied scientific research on the most important issues of visual and decorative-applied arts, architecture (sculpture and building craft, creative concepts in architectural activity, design of the architectural environment, reconstruction and restoration of architectural heritage), design and artistic education, other humanities and social sciences, artistic technologies, as well as participates in coordinating fundamental scientific research and creative processes carried out by the Academy using funds from the federal budget.
