Coconut (Copra) Oil
This oil is obtained from the dried flesh or copra (as it is called) of coconut palm (Cocos nucifera) fruits. Fresh flesh can also be used. This non-drying, colorless or pale yellow oil is solid below 25 degrees Celsius. Coconut oil is used in the production of soap, cosmetic or toilet products, various types of lubricants, synthetic laundry detergents, cleaning and washing agents, as well as raw material for obtaining fatty acids, fatty alcohols and complex methyl esters.
Refined coconut oil is food grade and is used in the production of such food products as margarine, dietary supplements
