Burial Places


1. Places of burial are plots of land designated in accordance with ethical, sanitary and ecological requirements, on which cemeteries for the burial of bodies (remains) of deceased persons, walls of mourning for the burial of urns containing the ashes of deceased persons (ashes resulting from the cremation of bodies (remains) of deceased persons, hereinafter referred to as ashes), crematoriums for the burning of bodies (remains) of deceased persons, and other buildings and structures intended for the burial of deceased persons. Places of burial may be objects of cultural and historical significance.

2. Newly created as well as existing places of burial shall not be demolished and may be relocated only by decision of local government authorities in cases of threat of permanent flooding, landslides, after earthquakes and other natural disasters

Cemeteries are areas of land designated in accordance with ethical, sanitary and environmental requirements, on which cemeteries for the burial of deceased persons' bodies (remains), memorial walls for the burial of urns containing the ashes of deceased persons, crematoriums and other buildings and structures intended for the burial of deceased persons are constructed. Cemeteries may be considered as cultural and historical objects.
