Functions of the Chief Auditor of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation

2.1. Chief Auditor of the Bank of Russia:

a) provides overall management of the work of the Chief Auditor Service of the Bank of Russia;

b) prepares proposals for the management of the Bank of Russia on the main directions of work of the units of the Chief Auditor Service of the Bank of Russia for the current period and in the future;

c) approves programs for conducting specific audit inspections of the institutions of the Bank of Russia, including inspection programs for structural units of the Bank of Russia;

d) considers materials from audits of territorial offices of the Bank of Russia and all audit inspections and reports to the Chairman of the Bank of Russia on the results of the audit or inspection in order for him to make an appropriate management decision based on the findings of the audit or inspection, organizes monitoring of the elimination of deficiencies identified by audits and inspections;

d) organizes the development of draft regulatory acts governing the work of internal audit in the Bank of Russia;

e) organizes monitoring of activities aimed at improving the professional level of staff of the Chief Auditor Service;

f) analyzes general results of audits and inspection checks, and ensures the development of measures to improve internal audit in the Bank of Russia;

g) presents an annual report on the work of the Chief Auditor Service to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia, as well as submits reports to the National Banking Council within the timeframes and procedures established by it;

i) organizes jointly with the Department of Accounting and Reporting coordination of work related to conducting external audit of the Bank of Russia carried out by an external auditing organization determined by the National Banking Council;

k) performs other powers in accordance with the decisions of the Bank of Russia Board of Directors or the Chairman of the Bank of Russia
