Potential (passive) fertility
Potential (or passive) fertility is a soil property characterized by the total reserves of nutrients necessary for plants, as well as physical, chemical, biochemical, physicochemical, biological and other properties of the soil. Potential fertility, reflecting the original, genetically determined capabilities of the soil, is equated with natural (natural) fertility, which characterizes the energy accumulated in natural, natural biogeocenoses at the start of their possible anthropogenic transformation. It is determined by the size of resources (reserve fund) at the maximum level of their realization based on self-regulation
