Cotton oil
This most valuable of semi-drying oils is obtained from the seeds of certain species of the genus Gossypium. Cottonseed oil is widely used in industry, for example, in leather processing, soap production, lubricants, glycerin and water-repellent compositions, and as a base for cosmetic creams. Pure refined cottonseed oil is valued as salad or cooking oil, in the production of margarine and lard substitutes
