Witness in Civil Proceedings


1. A witness is a person who may be aware of any information relating to circumstances relevant to the consideration and resolution of the case. Information provided by a witness does not constitute evidence if he or she cannot indicate the source of his or her knowledge.

2. The party requesting the summoning of a witness must specify which circumstances relevant to the consideration and resolution of the case the witness may confirm, and provide the court with the witness's name, patronymic, surname, and place of residence.
