Evidence in a Criminal Case


1. Evidence in a criminal case are any information on the basis of which the court, prosecutor, investigator, or police officer, in accordance with this Code, establishes the presence or absence of circumstances that must be proven during the proceedings in a criminal case, as well as other circumstances relevant to the criminal case.

2. The following may be used as evidence:

1) statements of the suspect or accused;

2) statements of the victim or witness;

3) expert opinion and statements of the expert;

3.1) specialist's opinion and statements of the specialist;

4) physical evidence;

5) protocols of investigative and judicial actions;

6) other documents
