Basic numerical composition of objects of the animal world

Baseline population size - the number of individuals or population density (number of individuals per unit area) of a biological species on a specific territory prior to the breeding season (appearance of young individuals). The indicator includes all individuals of the biological species, excluding those born in the current year. For invertebrates, the biomass indicator may be used if it is easier to obtain than the population count, or if the value of the wildlife object is assessed based on biomass
