Silver ingots of the London Good Delivery standard


2. Silver ingots of the London good delivery standard must meet the following requirements:

The weight of the ingot ranges from 500 to 1250 troy ounces (from 15552 g to 38879 g).

The weight of each ingot must be expressed in troy ounces and a multiple of 0.10 ounce.

The purity of the metal must be no less than 999 parts chemically pure silver per 1000 parts alloy mass.

Mandatory markings on the ingot include:

- serial number,

- assay,

- manufacturer's mark,

- weight in troy ounces or kilograms (the weight of the ingot in kilograms must be converted into troy ounces and

The ingot must have a proper shape, convenient for transportation and storage.

The surface of the ingot must not have pores, depressions, or other defects. The edges of the ingot must be straight and non-sharp.
