Health Insurance Organization in the Field of Compulsory Health Insurance
1. An insurance medical organization carrying out activities in the field of compulsory health insurance (hereinafter referred to as an insurance medical organization) is an insurance organization holding a license issued by a federal executive authority responsible for control and supervision in the field of insurance activities. The specifics of licensing the activities of insurance medical organizations are determined by the Government of the Russian Federation. An insurance medical organization performs certain powers of an insurer in accordance with this Federal Law and the financial guarantee agreement on compulsory health insurance concluded between the territorial fund and the insurance medical organization (hereinafter referred to as the financial guarantee agreement on compulsory health insurance).
