State Awards of the Russian Federation
1. State awards of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as state awards) are the highest form of recognition for citizens of the Russian Federation for their merits in the field of state building, economy, science, culture, art and education, in strengthening the rule of law, protection of health and life, safeguarding the rights and freedoms of citizens, upbringing, development of sports, for a significant contribution to the cause of defending the Fatherland and ensuring national security, for active charitable activities and other merits before the state
