Categories of Civil Service Positions
1) heads - positions of heads and deputies of heads of state bodies and their structural units (hereinafter also referred to as unit), positions of heads and deputies of heads of territorial offices of federal executive bodies and their structural units, positions of heads and deputies of heads of representations of state bodies and their structural units, held for a specified term or without limitation of the term of office;
2) assistants (advisors) - positions established to assist persons holding state positions, heads of state bodies, heads of territorial offices of federal executive bodies and heads of representations of state bodies in the exercise of their powers and held for a specified term limited by the term of office of those persons or heads;
3) specialists - positions established to ensure the professional performance of tasks and functions by state bodies and held without time limits on authority;
4) supporting specialists - positions established to provide organizational, informational, documentary, financial and economic, administrative and other support for the activities of state bodies and held without time limits on authority
