Helicopters


l) "helicopters" means airships heavier than air (excluding those used by military, customs or police services), which are kept in flight primarily by the interaction of air with one or more lifting rotors rotated by a power unit around axes approximately in a vertical position, and for which competent authorities issue a type certificate attesting their suitability for transporting:

i) at least five (5) persons, including the crew, or

ii) goods weighing more than 450 kilograms,

together with all installed, fitted or attached accessories, parts and equipment (including lifting rotors), as well as all related data, manuals and records;
