Rocket - Interceptor
The term "interceptor missile," as used in the Second Joint Statement of September 26, 1997, refers to any missile covered by the provisions of paragraph "a" of Article VI of the Treaty, if such a missile:
a) is developed by a Party as a missile for countering ballistic missiles that are not strategic ballistic missiles; or
b) is declared by a Party as a missile for countering ballistic missiles that are not strategic ballistic missiles; or
c) has been tested by a Party using a ballistic missile target.
With regard to sub-paragraphs "a," "b" or "c," such a missile shall be considered an interceptor missile in all its launches.
