Medical box
A box is a complex of medical, sanitary-hygienic, and auxiliary rooms intended for hospitalization and the conduct of therapeutic-diagnostic procedures for patients in infectious hospitals or departments. A box consists of the following mandatory elements: a lobby for entry from the street, a patient room (ward), a sanitary toilet, and an entrance airlock for staff coming from the department corridor. Entry to the sanitary toilet is provided directly from the patient's room (ward). Boxes provide the possibility of complete isolation of patients. A patient enters and leaves the box through the street lobby. Staff enter the boxes from the department corridor through airlocks, where they change their protective clothing, wash their hands, and perform hand disinfection.
