Medical waste — all types of waste, including anatomical, pathological-anatomical, biochemical, microbiological and physiological waste generated in the course of medical activities, pharmaceutical activities, activities related to the production of medicinal products and medical devices, activities in the field of using pathogens of infectious diseases and genetically engineered organisms for medical purposes, as well as during the production and storage of biological cell products2.
