Chloramine

Chloramine is a white powder with a slight chlorine odor. Chloramine solutions are slow-acting disinfectants. In strongly alkaline environments, the bactericidal activity of chloramine rapidly decreases. The bactericidal properties of chloramine solutions are enhanced by the addition of ammonium sulfate.
