Territorial Sea of the Russian Federation
1. The territorial sea of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the territorial sea) is a maritime zone extending 12 nautical miles from the baselines specified in Article 4 of this Federal law, adjacent to the land territory or internal waters of the Russian Federation.
The width of the territorial sea may be established otherwise in accordance with Article 3 of this Federal law.
2. The definition of the territorial sea also applies to all islands of the Russian Federation.
3. The external boundary of the territorial sea is the State border of the Russian Federation.
The internal boundary of the territorial sea are the baselines from which the width of the territorial sea is measured
