Palm kernel oil

This white oil is obtained from the kernels of oil palm nuts, mainly African oil palms of the species Elaeis guineensis, and not from the flesh of the fruit (see explanations for commodity code 1511). It is widely used in the production of margarine and in the confectionery industry, as it has a pleasant aroma and a nutty flavor. It is also used in the production of glycerin, shampoos, soap, and candles.
