5.1. #hazard class (toxicity) of waste#: A numerical characteristic of waste that determines the type and degree of its hazard (toxicity)

The hazard class of waste is an indicator that depends on the content of harmful substances in the waste having hazardous properties or containing pathogens of infectious diseases, or capable of posing a direct or potential hazard to the surrounding natural environment or human health either independently or upon contact with other substances; it is determined in accordance with the criteria for classifying hazardous wastes into hazard classes for the surrounding natural environment
