The bodies responsible for the day-to-day management of the unified state system for emergency situation prevention and elimination are organizations (units) established by federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, local self-government bodies, and organizations to ensure their activities in the field of population and territory protection from emergency situations, management of forces and means designated and allocated (involved) for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations, and the exchange of information and notification of the public about emergency situations (ceased to be in force as of 2019-08-04)¹.
