Federal State Information System of the Environment
The Federal State Information System of the Environment - for providing information on the state of the environment (environmental information) to the federal executive authorities, the executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, local self-government bodies, organizations and the population, as well as for collecting, processing and analyzing such information, assessing the state of the environment and forecasting its changes under the influence of natural and (or) anthropogenic factors1.
