Dyurogezik

Duragesic is a lightweight plastic patch containing a depot of fentanyl in the form of a gel with hydroxyethylcellulose and alcohol. When applied to the patient's skin, fentanyl gradually diffuses through all layers of the skin, entering the systemic bloodstream and providing prolonged analgesia: the effect of one patch lasts 72 hours. The amount of released fentanyl depends on the size of the patch. 10 cm² contain 2.5 mg of fentanyl, released at a rate of 25 mcg/h. Depending on the size of the patch (10 - 40 cm²), the volume of released fentanyl may be 25, 50, 75 or 100 mcg/h. Duragesic is not used for the treatment of postoperative and other acute pain due to the risk of respiratory depression, which may occur after the elimination of pain (an active stimulating factor) against the background of continued absorption of fentanyl into the blood
