Buprenorphine


Buprenorphine (norphine, tradezik, anfin, Buprenex, Temgesic) - synthetic narcotic drug obtained from thebaine. It is part of tablets and also available as a solution in ampoules (contains sugar as an additive). Widely used in oncology as an analgesic. The duration of action of buprenorphine is 6 - 8 hours. Single dose - 0.2 - 0.6 mg. The analgesic effect of buprenorphine is stronger than that of morphine, approximately 30 times. When using buprenorphine, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sometimes respiratory depression are observed
