States in a geographically unfavorable position
Countries in a geographically disadvantaged position — those coastal States, including States bordered by enclosed or semi-enclosed seas, whose geographical location makes them dependent on the exploitation of living resources in the exclusive economic zones of other States of this subregion or region for adequate fish supply to their population or part thereof in order to meet food requirements, as well as coastal States which are unable to claim their own exclusive economic zones1.
