Insured persons under compulsory social insurance in cases of temporary incapacity for work and in connection with maternity
1. Insurers under the compulsory social insurance in case of temporary incapacity for work and in connection with motherhood are persons making payments to individuals subject to compulsory social insurance in case of temporary incapacity for work and in connection with motherhood pursuant to this Federal Law, including:
1) organizations - legal entities established in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign legal entities, companies and other corporate formations possessing civil capacity created in accordance with the legislation of foreign states, international organizations, branches and representations of the aforementioned foreign persons and international organizations established on the territory of the Russian Federation;
2) individual entrepreneurs, including heads of peasant (farmer) households;
3) individuals not recognized as individual entrepreneurs.
2. For the purposes of this Federal Law, insurers are deemed to include lawyers, individual entrepreneurs, members of peasant (farmer) households, physical persons not recognized as individual entrepreneurs (notaries engaged in private practice, and other persons engaged in private practice in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation), members of family (clan) communities of indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North who have voluntarily entered into relations under compulsory social insurance in case of temporary incapacity for work and in connection with motherhood in accordance with Article 4.5 of this Federal Law. The aforementioned persons exercise the rights and bear the obligations of insurers provided for by this Federal Law, except for the rights and obligations related to the payment of insurance benefits to insured persons.
