Arrest in Criminal Law
1. Arrest consists in keeping the convicted person under strict isolation from society and is imposed for a period of one to six months. In the case of replacing compulsory work or corrective labor with arrest, it may be imposed for a period less than one month.
2. Arrest is not imposed on persons who have not reached the age of sixteen at the time the court issues its verdict, as well as on pregnant women and women with children under fourteen years of age.
