Monographic Method of Researching Industrial Injuries
Monographic research method - is applied when studying the causes of occupational injuries and professional diseases at the level of an organization and its structural units. This method is the main one for determining the causes of accidents and occupational diseases. Most often, the object of study by this method is a single production process of road works, a single work process, a machine, production equipment, etc. The monographic method studies the working conditions, adopted technology, production conditions, technological processes, composition of workers by profession, age, tenure, availability of instructions, rules, means of individual and collective protection, etc. During the study, causes are identified not only of detected accidents but also potential (hidden) ones that may lead to accidents and occupational diseases, and measures are developed to eliminate and prevent these causes.
Technical research method - is used to determine the level of danger of adverse production factors (vibration, noise, industrial dust, ionizing radiation, toxic substances, etc.).
Group research method - is used to identify the frequency of accidents by grouping similar incidents over a certain period of time for studying their causes.
Topographical research method - is used for graphical marking of accident locations.
