Tire Carcass


- carcass - the main load-bearing element of the tire, consisting of one or several layers of rubberized cord fixed, as a rule, on bead rings. The cord is a fabric composed of thick warp threads and thin sparse weft threads, manufactured from natural or synthetic fibers, or from thin steel wires (metal cord);
