Contract of Maritime Carriage of Goods


1. Under a contract of maritime cargo transportation, the carrier is obliged to deliver the cargo, which has been or will be handed over by the shipper, to the port of destination and hand it over to an authorized person entitled to receive the cargo (hereinafter - consignee), the shipper or charterer is obliged to pay the established fee (freight) for the transportation of the cargo.

2. A contract of maritime cargo transportation may be concluded:

1) with a condition of providing the entire vessel, part thereof or specific ship compartments for the maritime transportation of the cargo (charter);

2) without such a condition.
