Effective length of the railway track
useful length of railway track - a part of the railway track bounded by:
in the presence of signals and electrical insulation of the railway track - on one side by an exit (route, shunting) signal, on the other - by an insulating joint of the rail circuit section;
in the presence of signals and absence of electrical insulation of the railway track - on one side by a signal, on the other - by a limit post;
in the absence of signals and electrical insulation of the railway track - by limit posts on both sides;
