Flavonoids
They are widely present in plant-based food products. Regular consumption of these compounds leads to a reliable reduction in the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. The high biological activity of flavonoids is due to their antioxidant properties. It has also been established that flavonoids play an important role in regulating the activity of enzymes involved in xenobiotic metabolism.
Recommended intake levels: for adults - 250 mg/day (including catechins - 100 mg); for children aged 7 to 18 years from 150 to 250 mg/day (including catechins from 50 to 100 mg/day) (introduced for the first time)
