Veterans of Government Service


1. Veterans of state service are persons, including those who have been discharged from state service into reserve (retirement), awarded orders or medals, or bestowed with honorary titles of the USSR or the Russian Federation, or awarded departmental distinctions and having the required length of service or years of service necessary for the assignment of a pension due to old age, length of service, or other forms of pension provision, lifetime maintenance for work (service) in state positions of the Russian Federation, state positions in federal executive bodies, executive bodies of state authority of subjects of the Russian Federation, other state bodies established in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation, local self-government bodies, other bodies (organizations), work in which is counted towards the length of service in state service in accordance with legislation, as well as persons who have become disabled as a result of injury, concussion, wound or illness incurred in connection with the performance of duties of state service
