Monitoring in Occupational Medicine


Occupational health monitoring - a prolonged systematic collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of data for the purposes of prevention. Monitoring is important for planning, implementation and evaluation of occupational health programs and for controlling occupational health disorders and injuries, as well as for preserving and strengthening workers' health. Occupational health monitoring includes monitoring of workers' health and monitoring of the working environment (ILO, 1998)
