1. The Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia (FMBR) is a federal executive body performing functions in providing state services and managing state property in the healthcare sector, including provision of medical care, organization of blood service activities, control and supervision in the field of blood donation and its components, as well as control and supervision in the field of sanitary-epidemiological welfare of workers in certain sectors of the economy with particularly hazardous working conditions (including during preparation and execution of space flights, conducting diving and caisson work), and populations of certain territories according to the list approved by the Government of the Russian Federation (hereinafter - serviced organizations and serviced territories), including functions related to medical and sanitary support for workers in serviced organizations and population of serviced territories (including provision of services in the field of resort affairs, organization of forensic medical and forensic psychiatric examinations, transplantation of human organs and tissues) and the organization of medical and social expertise for employees of the serviced organizations and the population of the serviced territories
