The Agency is a state corporation established by the Russian Federation, whose status, objectives, functions and powers are determined by this Federal Law, the Federal Law of January 12, 1996, No. 7-FZ "On Non-Commercial Organizations," the Federal Law "On Banks and Banking Activities," the Federal Law "On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)," the Federal Law "On Guaranteeing the Rights of Insured Persons in the System of Compulsory Pension Insurance of the Russian Federation when Forming and Investing Pension Savings, Establishing and Making Payments from Pension Savings," the Federal Law "On Guaranteeing the Rights under Life Insurance Contracts," the Law of the Russian Federation of November 27, 1992, No. 4015-I "On Organization of Insurance Activities in the Russian Federation" (hereinafter referred to as the Law of the Russian Federation "On Organization of Insurance Activities in the Russian Federation") and other legislative acts of the Russian Federation5.
