Volga-Caspian Fishery Basin
2. The Volga- Caspian fishery basin is divided into the Northern and Southern fishery regions, separated from each other by a conditional line running along the dam of the Volga Hydroelectric Power Station (city of Volgograd), except for ponds and flooded quarries owned by subjects of the Russian Federation, municipal and private ownership.
2.1. The Southern fishery region of the Volga-Caspian fishery basin includes the Caspian Sea, as well as water objects of fishery importance on the territories of Astrakhan Oblast, Republic of Dagestan, Republic of Kalmykia (the coast of the Caspian Sea within Lagansky District, the Volga River within Justinsky District and Sarpinskoye Lakes) and part of Volgograd Oblast (the Volga River with its distributaries, backwaters, channels and other water objects of fishery importance below the dam of the Volga Hydroelectric Power Station, the Volga-Don navigation canal reservoirs with tributary rivers).
The Southern fisheries region is divided into 4 sub-regions: Volga-Caspian, Northwest, Northern Caspian, and Terek-Caspian. The description and scheme of the sub-regions of the Southern fisheries region of the Volga-Caspian fisheries basin are provided in Appendix No. 1 to the Fishing Rules "Description and scheme of the sub-regions of the Southern fisheries region of the Volga-Caspian fisheries basin".
2.2. The Northern Fishery District of the Volga- Caspian Fishery Basin includes the Volga River from its source to the dam of the Volga Hydroelectric Power Station (city of Volgograd) with the basins of rivers flowing into it, including reservoirs: Upper Volga, Ivanovskoye, Uglich, Rybinsk, Gorky, Cheboksarskoye, Cheremkhovsky, Votkinsk, Kamskoye, Lower Kama, Kuibyshev, Sur, Saratov, Volgograd, as well as all water objects of fishery importance located on the territories of Bashkortostan Republic, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Mari El Republic, Mordovia, North Ossetia - Alania, Tatarstan, Udmurt Republic, Chechen Republic, Chuvash Republic - Chuvashia, Perm Krai, Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Volgograd (above the dam of the Volga Hydroelectric Power Station), Vologda (Rybinsk Reservoir and other water objects of fishery importance in Cheremkhovsky District), Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kirov, Kostroma, Kursk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Oryol, Penza, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, of Smolensk, Tambov, Tver, Tula (Oka River basin), Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl regions and the city of Moscow
