Operating Organization in the Field of Nuclear Energy
Operating organization - an organization established in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and recognized by the relevant authority responsible for the management of nuclear energy, in the manner and conditions established by the Government of the Russian Federation, as suitable to operate a nuclear facility, radiation source or storage site, and to carry out activities related to the placement, design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of a nuclear facility, radiation source or storage site, as well as activities related to the handling of nuclear materials and radioactive substances, either by its own forces or with the involvement of other organizations. In order to conduct these types of activities, the operating organization must have permits (licenses) issued by the relevant state regulatory authorities on the right to carry out work in the field of nuclear energy use.
