Sanitary Full-Scale Rubbing
57. A sanitary cut is considered full-scale if a stand of trees is felled on an area of 0.1 hectares or more.
Full-scale sanitary cuts are carried out in stands that have lost biological stability, and are assigned regardless of the age of the stands in cases where selective sanitary cuts can no longer restore the health of the stands or lead to a reduction in their density below acceptable levels at which it is possible to ensure the viability of the stands and the performance of their target functions. In this regard, the current and total loss, the degree of infestation by trunk pests and diseases, as well as the forecast for changes in the condition of the stand and the number of trunk pests in the coming years are taken into account.
