Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures
"sanitary and phytosanitary measures" - mandatory sanitary, veterinary-sanitary and phytosanitary requirements and procedures applied in order:
to protect the life and health of humans and animals from risks arising from the presence of contaminants, toxins or pathogenic organisms in foodstuffs, beverages, feeds and other products;
to protect the life and health of animals and plants from risks arising from the introduction, establishment (fixation) or spread of pests, plant pathogens, animal pathogens, plants (weeds), disease vectors or pathogenic organisms which are of quarantine significance for the Contracting Parties' states;
to protect the life and health of humans from risks arising from diseases transmitted by animals, plants or products derived therefrom; preventing or restricting other damage caused by the penetration, establishment (fixation) or spread of pests, plant disease pathogens and animal pathogens, plants (weeds), pathogenic organisms, including in the case of their transfer or spread by animals and/or plants, with goods, materials, transport means; "conformity certificate to the Eurasian Economic Union technical regulation" - a document by which the certification body (body for assessment (confirmation) of conformity) certifies that the product or other objects meet the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union technical regulations;
