Production capacity

10. "Production capacity" means: the annual quantitative potential for producing a specific chemical based on the technological process actually used or, in the case of a process not yet used, planned for use at the relevant facility. It is considered to be equal to the rated capacity or, in the absence of rated capacity, to the designed capacity. Rated capacity represents product output under conditions optimally calculated for maximum production volume applicable to the production facility based on data from one or several trial runs. Designed capacity represents the corresponding product output based on data from theoretical calculations.
