Mandate for conducting a peacekeeping operation — a decision by the Collective Security Council of the CIS (hereinafter - CSC) or, in the case of conducting a peacekeeping operation outside the territory of member states, a decision by the United Nations Security Council, which defines the objectives and tasks, time and spatial limits, other details of a specific peacekeeping operation, as well as the powers of peacekeepers1.
