Criminal record
Criminal record, therefore, represents a legal status of an individual resulting from the fact of conviction and imposition of punishment by court judgment for a committed crime, and entails legal consequences established by criminal legislation upon the repeated commission of crimes by this person; an existing unexpunged or unserved criminal record gives rise to special public-law relations between the individual and the state based on criminal law regulation, which, upon the commission of new crimes by this person, serve as a basis for assessing his personality and the committed crimes as having increased social danger, thus implying the application of more stringent measures of criminal liability towards him.
