Compensatory procurement
Compensatory purchase. In this form, the object of the first transaction is equipment, technology or services that will be used in order to create production capacity for the buyer. The parties agree that the seller will subsequently purchase from the buyer products manufactured on these capacities. As with counter-purchase, both streams of goods are paid for in cash, and the price of the product purchased as compensation may be less than, equal to or greater than the price of the product of the first transaction.
