Cross-Domed Church
A cross-domed church has four central columns, upon which springing arches rest, supporting a vault with a dome in a light cylinder, accessed via the sails. In plan, a cross-domed church forms a spatial cross. To the central square are attached rectangular ends of the cross, covered by cylindrical vaults, between which angular spaces are located, covered by vaults. A cross-domed church has a three-nave or five-nave variant.
