Underwater Cultural Heritage
a) "Underwater cultural heritage" means all traces of human existence having a cultural, historical or archaeological character which are partially or fully, periodically or permanently underwater for a period of at least 100 years, such as:
i) objects, structures, buildings, artefacts and human remains together with their archaeological and natural environment;
ii) ships, aircraft, other vehicles or any parts thereof, their cargo or other contents, together with their archaeological and natural environment; and
iii) prehistoric objects.
b) Pipelines and cables laid on the seabed are not considered underwater cultural heritage.
c) Other installations which are neither pipelines nor cables, located on the seabed and continue to be used, are not considered underwater cultural heritage
