Carnation
Cloves [109] are dried flower buds of the tropical plant Caryophyllis aromatica L. (from the myrtle family). Depending on their purpose, cloves are produced either whole or ground. The color of both whole and ground cloves is brown in various shades, and the taste is very spicy.
