Subscriber Station (Radio Station)
Subscriber station (subscriber radio station): a technical means connected to the mobile network for generating telecommunications signals to transmit or receive information via radio channels, which completely loses its functionality without such connection. Subscriber stations (subscriber radio stations) of the GSM-900/1800 standard mobile radio telephone system include:
- fully constructed and functional devices with all control elements and human-machine interface providing users with telephony and data transmission services (cellular phones, mobile phones);
- transceivers of the GSM-900/1800 standard mobile radio telephone system without control elements intended for use as semi-finished products and components in various devices where GSM-900/1800 standard mobile radio telephone networks are used for transmitting control, monitoring signals, etc. (GSM modems or modules);
- devices intended for connection to computers for transmitting data between computers and between computers and the Internet network via a mobile radio telephone communication network of the GSM-900/1800 standard;
- remote control and monitoring devices, which include receiving and transmitting equipment of the global mobile radio telephone communication system, ensuring transmission of control and monitoring signals through the mobile radio telephone communication network
