Hazardous Industrial Facilities

Objects that fall into the category of hazardous production facilities are objects on which:

1) the following hazardous substances are obtained, used, processed, formed, stored, transported, destroyed:

a) flammable substances - gases that become flammable when mixed with air at normal pressure and have a boiling temperature of 20 degrees Celsius or lower at normal pressure;

b) oxidizing substances - substances supporting combustion, causing ignition and (or) facilitating the ignition of other substances as a result of redox

b) flammable substances - liquids, gases, dusts capable of self-ignition, as well as igniting from an ignition source and continuing to burn after removal of the source;

c) explosive substances - substances which under certain types of external influence are capable of very rapid self-propagating chemical transformation with heat release and gas formation;

d) toxic substances - substances that, when acting on living organisms, can cause their death and have the following characteristics:

median lethal dose when administered orally is less than or equal to 15 milligrams per kilogram

up to 200 milligrams per kilogram inclusive;

median lethal dose when applied to skin from 50 milligrams per kilogram to 400 milligrams per kilogram inclusive;

median lethal concentration in air from 0.5 milligram per liter to 2 milligrams per liter inclusive;

e) highly toxic substances - substances capable of causing death in living organisms upon exposure and having the following characteristics:

median lethal dose when introduced into the stomach not exceeding 15 milligrams per kilogram;

median lethal dose when applied to skin not exceeding 50 milligrams per kilogram;

average lethal concentration in air not more than 0.5 milligrams per liter;

g) substances posing a hazard to the environment - substances characterised in an aqueous medium by the following indicators of acute toxicity:

(as amended by Federal Law No. 309-FZ of December 30, 2008)

average lethal dose upon inhalation exposure to fish over 96 hours not more than 10 milligrams per liter;

average concentration of poison causing a specific effect upon exposure to daphnia over 48 hours, not more than 10 milligrams per liter;

average inhibitory concentration upon

impact on algae over a period of 72 hours does not exceed 10 milligrams per liter;

2) equipment operating under pressure exceeding 0.07 megapascals or at water heating temperatures above 115 degrees Celsius is used;

3) stationary installed lifting mechanisms, escalators, cable cars, and funiculars are used;

4) melts of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys based on these melts are produced;

5) mining operations, mineral enrichment works, and underground work are carried out
